GONE ARE THOSE BLISSFUL DAYS!!

Gone are those blissful days!!


Gone are those blissful days,
Friendship was eternal always,
Friends always stood by you,
They always cared for you,

Now friendship is a profanity,
There’s no existence of the word eternity,
Friends are only there when they need you,
Never when they are needed by you,

A friend is just another acquaintance,
And friendship a matter of convenience,
So often backstabbing takes place,
 As you fall flat on your face,

Friends are nothing but hypocrites,
They need you just to hand out treats,
But the bond, the feeling,
Is completely gone, it’s missing,

Gone are the blissful days,
Friendship was sacred, but nowadays,
Friends will misuse you,
You trust them, and they’ll betray you,

I would rather live in solitude,
Than with such so-called friends, and I would,
Definitely let go of such a friend,
Than being in a superficial bond, till the end,

Throughout your life, you are on your own,
Friendship is a lie, and you die alone,
You might say, I am being utterly cynical,
But gone are the blissful days; now friendship is ephemeral………
